Initial Idea of a Network Installation

NIC Cards: 3COM (3C905B-TX-NM) with "Remote Wake-Up"; these cards use Twisted Pair (RJ-45) cables (much bigger than the RJ-11 cables used on phones).

HUB: Linksys (Etherfast 100 Base-TXPORT).

SOFTWARE: Use TCP/IP (no DHCP; no WINS); assign arbitrary IP address (200.100.100.10, 200.100.100.20, 200.100.100.30, etc.).

NOTE: A larger network requires a Router---this is beyond the scope and expertise of a developer like myself!
