The tk.eclipse.plugin.htmleditor may load slowly due to the enabled HTML validation option under

Project &gt; Properties &gt; Amateras &gt; Validation:

Uncheck the HTML Validation box and this should improve performance. This guidance applies to version 2.0.2 of the plugin.
